Boucheron adds 8 new Question Mark necklaces to its Signature High Jewellery collection
Unveiled at Paris Couture Week, these new high jewellery pieces see creative director Claire Choisne add her personal take to the French luxury house’s historic designs
Thinking about adding something special to your jewellery collection? Here are some interesting options. Boucheron has added eight new pieces of the iconic Question Mark necklaces to its Signature High Jewellery collection.
Unveiled during this year’s Paris Couture Week, in January, they are conceived by creative director Claire Choisne, who added her personal take to these timeless designs. The house classics have a history at Boucheron dating back to 1879. Inheriting the versatile, asymmetrical shape, the new additions feature a range of natural motifs including lotus flowers, bunches of grapes, poppy petals, and even a snake.
Modernised creativity is fully embodied in the Nuage de Fleurs necklace, which features a cluster of hydrangeas, the first flower Choisne’s daughter gifted her. Each hydrangea petal has been embellished with an elegant mother-of-pearl drop.
Another creation is the Perles necklace, a youthful, Parisian design that nods to arabesque. “This stylistic approach, based on asymmetry, profusion and the aesthetics of curved lines, was reinforced by a technical feat that was totally innovative in jewellery: the absence of any clasp, which allowed women to put on their jewellery alone, without the assistance of another person,” explains Choisne.
