Today, we are following a study conducted by Showerstoyou.co.uk, which conducted an analysis of the world’s most Instagramed lakes.
Here are nine of the most Instagramable lakes and lake hotspots in the world where you can head for your next photo-op:
1. Lake District, UK: 2,951,548 hashtags
This popular holiday destination is a region and national park in Cumbria in northwest England and takes first place on our list. It is recognised for its glacial ribbon lakes, rugged fell mountains and historic literary associations with William Wordsworth and other Lake poets.
2. Lake Michigan, US: 2,208,442 hashtags
Lake Michigan is one of the five Great Lakes of North America. There are too many reasons to love and visit this lake, a few being the Lake Michigan Caspian Triangle, Lake Michigan’s Frozen Pier and Lighthouse, which makes for great photography during winters.
3. Lake Como, Italy: 1,412,597 hashtags
