When Kanye West proposed, he presented Kim Kardashian with a 15-carat ring reported to be worth US$4 million. Unfortunately, the ring was among the jewellery stolen from Kardashian’s hotel room in Paris in 2016.

Melania Trump
US first lady and former model Melania Trump’s engagement ring is a sparkler from renowned London jeweller Graff. Trump claimed he bought the ring at a 50 per cent discount from the jeweller. However, Laurence Graff, owner of the house, later refuted the claims and maintained no favours were given to Trump in 2004 when the ring was bought. If Trump is to be believed, he paid about US$1.5 million for an Asscher cut diamond that is worth well over US$3 million.
Meghan Markle
The three-stone trinity ring Prince Harry gave to Meghan Markle is very special to him. Harry bought the main stone in Botswana, the place where the couple took their first trip, and set it with two diamonds from his late mother Princess Diana’s estate.

In 2019 royal spectators spotted changes that were made to her ring; Markle had modified the band of the ring, from the original gold band to a diamond pave one. According to a CNBC report in 2018, the ring is worth US$350,000.
Kate Middleton
Prince William picked the 12-carat Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring that was his late mother’s engagement ring to seal the deal with Kate Middleton. Prince William wouldn’t have been able to propose with this ring if not for Harry. The brother selected items from Diana’s collection after her death, Harry picked this ring and William chose a Cartier Francaise watch. The brothers later made a swap and that is how William was able to present this ring to Kate Middleton in 2010. When Prince Charles bought this ring from Garrard in 1981, it reportedly cost him £28,500 (US$36,684).

The crown jewels have nothing on the 24-carat diamond ring that music royalty Jay Z bought for his wife. Queen Bey is often spotted wearing her hard-to-miss emerald cut ring that reportedly cost US$5 million when it was bought for the couple’s engagement in 2008 from American jeweller Lorraine Schwartz.
