Hermès, Gucci and Burberry – what are the best new lipsticks from luxury fashion brands?

After fragrances, more runway labels like Hermès, Jimmy Choo and Gucci target the mass market with something every fashionista needs: a great lipstick
If you’re not ready to invest in a couture piece, you can still own a slice of the brand by purchasing its signature scent. Now in the mood for constant innovation, high fashion houses continue to make their mark on our vanities by joining the make-up fray. Here’s a round up of the newcomers of late.
No horseplay
Perhaps the most groundbreaking in the world of lipsticks this year is Hermès’ debut of an eponymous rouge collection wrapped in Pierre Hardy-designed tubes that complement the house’s contemporary look. Plastic use is minimal and each bullet is refillable.

Available in 46 shades inspired by the brand’s archive of silks and leathers, the lippies cover everything from poppy red to electric pink; and each shade is scented with notes of sandalwood, arnica and angelica developed by the house’s nose Christine Nagel.
Runway kiss

Though a long-time player in the lipstick market, Burberry has always flown under the radar, and now debuts its first long-lasting liquid lip colour with a glossy, laminated finish.

Dubbed Kisses Lip Lacquer, the collection of 12 shades are all infused with moisturising hyaluronic acid and ginger root extract for a revitalising effect.
