Westworld in Singapore: 7 filming locations you might have visited from season 3 of the HBO drama

From Chinese Food Street to the National Gallery to the island of Pulau Ubin, these 7 places in Singapore are all featured in HBO’s Westworld season 3
The popular sci-fi series Westworld is currently airing its third season on HBO. However, the dystopian hit, with its focus on artificial intelligence, androids and the nature of humanity, has burst out of the Wild West theme park that provided the setting for the first two seasons. Now, the action is being taken to the “real world”.
Shrouded in secrecy, shooting took place in Singapore with the production code name “Monty’s Last Stand”. The Lion City was selected for its mix of historic and contemporary architecture, as well as access to lush countryside. Singaporean stars such as Tuen Wai Meng (128 Circle, Neighbours), Salif Hardie (Lion Mums 3, Azam dan Johan) and Cheryl Chitty Tan (Faculty, Derek) all scored speaking roles, too.
Here are seven of the most famous locations featured in this season of Westworld.
Chinatown Food Street

A hit with locals as well as tourists, this stretch of Singapore’s Chinatown was refurbished back in 2014. On top of playing host to Westworld, it has space for 700 diners and 24 stalls selling all manner of local favourites, from char kway teow to satay.
Helix Bridge

Appropriately futuristic, Helix Bridge offers a pedestrian path between Marina South and Marina Centre in the downtown core of Singapore. The construct was a partnership between Australian architects Cox Architecture and Singapore-based Architects 61. Based on strands of DNA, the bridge is symbolic of the recurrent theme of what it means to be human that runs throughout Westworld.
