What did The Witcher star Henry Cavill learn from Ben Affleck? 6 reasons why the hunky Superman actor ticks all the boxes
The British actor who turns 37 this Tuesday was not always the six-pack Adonis he is today – here’s how he turned from chubby kid to Superman
Whether he’s saving the earth from evil as Superman, playing the troubled Geralt on The Witcher or being the evil genius in Mission: Impossible – Fallout, British actor Henry Cavill ticks all the boxes when it comes to an all day swoon-fest.
Cavill is celebrating his 37th birthday this Tuesday (May 5) and we’re all for celebrating him. Delicious enough to be savoured, humble enough to be respected and a past that all of us can relate to, here are six reasons we’re crushing hard over the blue-eyed hero.
Body transformation
We may be used to ogling Cavill’s rock hard abs and enormous biceps, but his body wasn’t always perfect, with the actor describing himself as a chubby kid. He was bullied in school and after playing rugby and doing school stage productions, he lost the weight and became more comfortable with his body.
He’s humble
You’d think that with an impressive résumé like his and all the money in the bank, Cavill would be a confident actor. Not so. He said he was intimidated by Ben Affleck while on the set of Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. He described Affleck as being funny and having a big presence, something that inspired him to better himself and his role on the movie.
His BFF is his dog Kal
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way the world operates and it’s no different with the rich and famous.
