Donald Trump: American president, businessman, TV star and billionaire. He has an estimated net worth of around US$2.1-billion (it was US$3.1 billion a month ago until the coronavirus pandemic severely affected his bottom line), but what about all the women in his life? How do they fare in the rich stakes?
Not surprisingly, they too are loaded with cash. Their big bank balances aren’t all related to The Don, though. Yes, he gave them a leg up, but these power women have been leaders in their own right. Here’s how they made their money.
Industrious Ivanka – r ich status: US$300 million
President Trump’s right-hand woman has long been associated with her dad’s businesses. As an adviser to her dad, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner had to disclose their income from their companies. This amounted to around US$135 million. Her business savvy combined with having the right surname has seen her spend time as an executive vice president of the Trump Organization, managing interior design for the Trump hotels and entering the fashion business with her own jewellery and handbag line.
Ivana, wife no. 1 – rich status: US$100 million
Ivana married The Don back in 1977 and after more than a decade together and three children, she walked away with between US$14 million – US$25 million after their divorce. After their split, she started two companies that largely sold clothes and beauty products. She is also the author of a self-help book and an autobiography. Ivana has made a few TV and film cameos and is best known for her line in The First Wives Club where she said “don’t get mad, get even” while talking about divorce.
Melania’s millions – rich status: US$50 million
