How rich are Ivanka, Tiffany and Melania Trump – and the other Trump women? From modelling to managing fashion brands, this is how they’ve raked in the cash
Donald Trump: American president, businessman, TV star and billionaire. He has an estimated net worth of around US$2.1-billion (it was US$3.1 billion a month ago until the coronavirus pandemic severely affected his bottom line), but what about all the women in his life? How do they fare in the rich stakes?
Not surprisingly, they too are loaded with cash. Their big bank balances aren’t all related to The Don, though. Yes, he gave them a leg up, but these power women have been leaders in their own right. Here’s how they made their money.
Industrious Ivanka – r ich status: US$300 million
President Trump’s right-hand woman has long been associated with her dad’s businesses. As an adviser to her dad, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner had to disclose their income from their companies. This amounted to around US$135 million. Her business savvy combined with having the right surname has seen her spend time as an executive vice president of the Trump Organization, managing interior design for the Trump hotels and entering the fashion business with her own jewellery and handbag line.
Ivana, wife no. 1 – rich status: US$100 million
Ivana married The Don back in 1977 and after more than a decade together and three children, she walked away with between US$14 million – US$25 million after their divorce. After their split, she started two companies that largely sold clothes and beauty products. She is also the author of a self-help book and an autobiography. Ivana has made a few TV and film cameos and is best known for her line in The First Wives Club where she said “don’t get mad, get even” while talking about divorce.
Melania’s millions – rich status: US$50 million
You might think Trump’s current wife Melania has benefited from her husband’s cash, but she was rich in her own right before becoming Mrs Trump. The “Slovenia Sphinx” was a successful model at 16, working in Paris and Milan before moving to NYC. She also raked in the cash from a jewellery collection and skin care range. As first lady she doesn’t earn a salary, but with her millions stored up from her previous life, she is one of the richest American first ladies in history.
Timid Tiffany – rich status: US$10 million
She just graduated from Georgetown Law School, but nobody knows what Tiffany’s next move is. She is rumoured to have a strained relationship with her dad and has, for the most part, shunned the perks that come with being the president’s daughter. She has only once hinted at entering the family real estate business, but for now, everybody is waiting on her next move. She does like the rich life though, with her squad including EJ Johnson (son of Magic Johnson) and Kyra Kennedy (daughter of Robert F. Kennedy Jnr).
Modest Marla – rich status: US$5 million
She was the reason Donald and Ivana had their infamous bitter divorce battle. As wife number two, she might have thought she’d get millions out of The Don when they split, but he reportedly had major financial troubles at the time. It’s speculated she got between US$1 million and US$5 million in the settlement. The actress has starred in some Broadway shows and was in the 2016 run of Dancing with the Stars. She is probably the most low-key out of all the Trump women, commenting how she loves to go out and “hug trees”.
