Chingari, a short video sharing mobile app developed in India, is well-positioned to be the next tech success story, with a sudden influx of more than 15 million new user downloads after TikTok was banned by the Indian government.

Self-proclaimed geek
Ghosh is the first person who would label himself a geek – it’s right there on his Facebook bio. It’s also clear from his background and work experience that he’s always been a tech junkie and lover of software engineering and computing.
Before joining Chingari, Ghosh worked as a software engineer at Tata Consultancy Services and later founded Globussoft, an IT and software services provider where he was CEO.
National pride
Hailing from Bhilai, a city in the eastern central Indian state of Chhattisgarh, Ghosh is a proud Indian who affirmed in a recent interview with Indian news site NewsBytes that one of his primary objectives when developing Chingari was to create a premier mobile app specifically for the country.
