Apple and Hermès join forces on a new line of ultra-covetable accessories for the Apple Watch and iPhone, including new innovation the AirTag, which comes in Barénia calfskin, naturally
The AirTag is a new iPhone accessory – on sale from April 30 – that allows users to locate their valuables. In other words, a physical alternative to the brand’s previous Find My function.
Marrying Hermès’s handcrafted leather-making know-how with Apple’s state-of-the-art technology, the special AirTag collaboration collection includes a key ring, bag charm, luggage tag and travel tag, allowing users to track the items they’re most attached to.
All Apple AirTag Hermès products are crafted in Barénia calfskin or Swift calfskin, a nod to the French fashion house’s equestrian heritage – specifically, a horse racing token holder from the Hermès archives. For avid gadget collectors, the Apple AirTag Hermès are available to pre-order now from Hermès Hong Kong online store, a week ahead of their availability in stores from April 30.
The new Hermès cases for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro come in the brand’s signature brown hue and crafted in the aforementioned Barénia calfskin – a full-grain leather that’s distinguished by its silky touch and develops a patina as time passes. The Bolduc hot-stamp patterns are inspired by the iconic ribbon that is often seen around Hermès orange packaged boxes. The case supports Apple’s MagSafe feature for wireless charging too.
Another single tour range wristband for Apple’s smartwatch – dubbed Jumping – has been crafted in new waterproof materials. Highlighting Hermes’s iconic H, they embody a more youthful, sporty aesthetic than the Attelage bands. With buckles inspired by Hermès’s saddlery features, the band is available in five colour combinations: Rouge de Cœur/Rouge H; Kraft/Rouge de Cœur; Orange/Rose Mexico; Bleu Saphir/Orange, and Noir/Bleu Saphir.
