Louis Vuitton launches menswear pop-up store at IFC Mall
STORYVivian Chen
A monstrous giraffe at IFC Mall’s atrium brings our wildest imaginations of Africa to life. Created especially for Louis Vuitton by British artists Jake and Dinos Chapman, AKA the Chapman Brothers, the installation echoes one of the surrealistic animal motifs featured in the brand’s spring-summer 2017 menswear collection.
This unique pop-up retail space, designed to resemble a Louis Vuitton glass trunk, opened yesterday. To celebrate the special occasion, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of men’s collections, Kim Jones, flew in to meet fans.
The cocktail party saw a stellar turnout: celebrities Pakho Chau, Stephen Fung, Alex Lam and Kevin Chu – as well as socialites Orlando Ho, Alison Chan and more – were spotted at the event.
The store is open until March 10, 2017 .
Stay tuned for our exclusive interview with Jones on his vision for the Louis Vuitton menswear universe, and what he really thinks about the Supreme collaboration.
