Big Bang’s Taeyang marries actress Min Hyo-rin in K-pop ‘wedding of the year’
K-pop singer Taeyang , one of the members of the hugely popular boy band Big Bang, has married actress Min Hyo-rin in a low-key ceremony in South Korea.
Designer Suzan Lee posted a picture of the couple next to the caption: “The wedding of the year.”
The photograph shows the 31-year-old bride in a strapless, long white floral applique covered wedding dress with full skirt, arm in arm with her well-dressed 29-year-old husband at a church in Gyeonggi.
A host of celebrities attended the wedding, including fellow Big Bang members Daesung and Seungri, former 2NE1 members CL and Sandara Park, and singers Psy and SE7EN.
The wedding reception was held at Paradise City resort hotel, in the South Korean city of Incheon, and was hosted by Daesung, with CL and Seungri serenading the newlyweds with congratulatory songs.
Taeyang, whose real name is Dong Young-bae, first met Min in 2014 when the actress appeared in the music video of the K-pop star’s song 1AM, which was featured on his album, RISE, and they began dating in 2015.
Last December, Taeyang announced his engagement to Min on Instagram, months ahead of his mandatory two-year military duty.
