Song Hye-kyo’s career has reached meteoric heights.
If you haven’t already heard of the South Korean superstar, you must have been living under a rock.
Song, 36, shot to stardom with the hit TV series Autumn in My Heart in 2003, and in the process became one of South Korea’s most recognised faces.
She is also one of the few celebrities whose brand-endorsement prowess continues to go from strength to strength.
In 2017, she was ranked number seven on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list, and her career reached new heights when she co-starred in the TV series Descendants of the Sun. She went on to marry her co-star from the series, Song Jong-ki – winning the hearts of many fans of the “Hallyu” (Korean Wave) couple.
During a short visit to Hong Kong, Song stopped by at IFC in Central to officiate the grand opening of Sulwhasoo’s exhibition, “Sulwhasoo Ginseng Journey”.
“Sulwhasoo’s culture of mixing traditional herbal remedies and modern scientific research makes it a great brand,” said Song of the Korean beauty brand she fronts. “I am very happy and honoured to be introducing this new Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum. I know from personal experience that it is a great product.”
We were dying to know what her beauty secrets are, and she was happy to divulge to us how she keeps her “perfectly symmetrical” face and body in shape. And yes, her skin really doesn’t look a day older than it did when she was 21.
Song laughed when quizzed about how faithful she stays to her skincare routine.
“To be honest, when I have a busy schedule it does get harder to maintain the same skincare routine every day. But I try to do it every day when I am not shooting, because that makes a huge difference to the overall result.”
