“You have changed your hair!” A welcome expected from a friend, not a member of K-pop royalty who has 7.8 million Instagram followers, who is the founder of a fashion and lifestyle brand, and who I have only met once before.
But that’s what greets me as I open the door of the suite in The Upper House in Hong Kong to meet former Girls’ Generation member, Jessica Jung.

Multi-hyphenate Jung, 29, is soon to release her first solo album having already founded fashion and lifestyle brand Blanc & Eclare.
The fashion favourite and stylish trendsetter is in Hong Kong to help fashion maison Salvatore Ferragamo open their new boutique in Pacific Place.
Her stock is firmly on the rise having also just signed with United Talent Agency in May, the same California-based agency that English actor Benedict Cumberbatch and American songstress Mariah Carey call home.
With all that, I was quite apprehensive about meeting the star who has been lovingly christened “the ice queen” by her legion of fans, despite having already met previously.
But it’s fair to say, after that welcome, those fears melted away pretty quickly.
