One month out from the NFL showpiece, tickets were listed for an average of US$8,000, according to TicketIQ data
Super Bowl tickets are not cheap. American football fans across the United States shell out thousands of dollars to attend the biggest game of the year.
The Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots will contest Super Bowl LIII on February 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, one of the NFL’s swankiest arenas.
Fans at the stadium – home of the Atlanta Falcons – enjoy a retractable roof, beautiful lounges, a bar the length of the field, and stunning views of the city’s skyline during games.
One month out from Super Bowl 2019, tickets were listed for an average of US$8,000, according to TicketIQ data provided to Business Insider.
In the chart below, you can see how that price compares to previous Super Bowl games. In 2017, when the Patriots played the Falcons in Houston, the average ticket price one month out was over US$10,000 – the highest average price in the past five years.
