SIHH 2019: IWC takes flight with new Top Gun and Spitfire Pilot’s Watches

HAPPENINGS: IWC Schaffhausen celebrated the unveiling of its new Pilot’s Watches collection at SIHH with a star-studded gala. Noted personalities in the 800-strong guest list included IWC brand ambassadors Bradley Cooper, Rosamund Pike, Dev Patel, James Marsden, Sonam Kapoor, Adriana Lima, Karolína Kurková, Valtteri Bottas, David Coulthard and Jochen Mass.

IWC launches Da Vinci collection with star-studded Geneva gala


The night started on a high note, with a real Spitfire that rolled into the event space. Once the plane came to a stop, out popped British pilot Matt Jones, who is set to fly a silver Spitfire around the world. The journey is part of the “Silver Spitfire – The Longest Flight” project, of which IWC is the main sponsor. Entertainment for the night was provided by Kaleo, an Icelandic quartet, as well as the maison’s own house band.
