The Amazon founder and CEO has a fortune of US$131 billion, according to Forbes’ latest list of the planet’s wealthiest people

The realm of retail has certainly produced lots of billionaires. At least, that's what Forbes magazine’s 2019 report on the world’s 20 richest people seems to show

Seven of the names on the list, published on Tuesday, received their money from major companies in the retail industry: the only industry that fared better was technology, which boasts 10 billionaires.
