Catch up with the latest episodes in the Black Mirror, Arthdal Chronicles, Aggretsuko, The Chef Show series, and Shaft franchise

As the temperature creeps up and the humidity makes stepping outside like wading through a sauna, what better way to spend June than curled up at home in the comfort of your air conditioner? Netflix has a raft of new shows ready for your viewing pleasure this summer – here are the best.

Black Mirror (Season 5)

One of the smartest shows on TV (and tablets and any other sort of screen), Black Mirror shows no sign of slowing down yet. Last December’s Black Mirror: Bandersnatch was a bold and triumphant piece of interactive television, and its smarts means we are excited to see where series creator Charlie Brooker takes the programme next.

This season is only three episodes, because of the amount of work that went into creating Bandersnatch, but we’ll always take quality over quantity. Did we mention that the episode Rachel, Jack and Ashley, Too stars Miley Cyrus as a pop star whose life isn’t as desirable as it might seem? Consider us intrigued.

Arthdal Chronicles

Helmed by award-winning TV director Kim Won-seok (the man behind hits like Misaeng and Signal), Arthdal Chronicles looks like a cross between Game of Thrones and Chinese historical dramas like Story of Yanxi Palace.

Little has been revealed about the story yet except that it takes place in the mythical land of Arth and that a brutal struggle for power is on the cards.

It is not much to go on but if Arthdal is anything like the aforementioned two shows, we expect to be bingeing like we just finished a five-day fast.

Aggretsuko (Season 2)
