Happenings: After Valentino’s grandeur haute couture fashion show at Hotel Salomon de Rothschild on July 3, the brand extended the celebrations to the world of beauty.
An exclusive ball was hosted at the Ambassade d’Italie in Paris to launch its new fragrance collection, Born in Roma.
The time-honoured architecture of the building was beautifully decorated with grand chandeliers, vintage furniture and interactive installations that exuded the scents of the two new fragrances for men and women.

From Valentino to Pierre Hardy, edgy sneakers that come with a kick


The fragrances, each housed in a studded bottle, were created by Pierpaolo Piccioli, creative director of Valentino, who was at the event with his wife, Simona Caggia. The party was also attended by the house’s founding designer Valentino Garavani.

Other guests included actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Kristin Scott Thomas, and supermodels Naomi Campbell and Adut Akech, who were all dressed in voluminous Valentino gowns.
