1. Kim Kardashian’s family summer holiday, 2023

Soon after, Kim made another visit with her eldest kid North, 10, to Tokyo, where they were joined by North’s friend Everleigh and her mum Ashley Yano on a sweet mummy-daughter trip.

Kim also shared photos and videos of them playing games with a geisha, going to Universal Studios Japan to meet Hello Kitty mascots, and visiting a temple. In one sweet Instagram caption, Kim wrote, “Japan is our happy place”.

Fans even believe that Kim might’ve met up with her ex Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori while in Tokyo, according to Hindustan Times. While this hasn’t been confirmed by the celebs, both West and Kardashian posted photos at Aman Tokyo hotel at around the same time, states the source.

2. Kendall Jenner in Tokyo for Hailey Bieber’s birthday bash, 2022

During the holiday, the group of friends enjoyed karaoke, Japanese barbecue, sushi and ramen, and stopped by Tokyo Tower, per British media.

Back in 2020, Kendall landed a Vogue Japan cover story.

3. Kourtney and Kim Kardashian’s kids’ trip, Thanksgiving 2019

In November 2019, Kourtney and Kim took their kids (Kim’s North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm; and Kourtney’s Mason, Penelope and Reign, shared with ex Scott Disick) to the Asakusa district, with Kim’s then-husband West in tow, according to Screenrant.

During the Thanksgiving trip, Kim met with journalism students at Monash University’s Tokyo Journalism Field School, while West took Kourtney’s son Mason shopping, per the same source.

4. Kim and Kanye West, summer 2019

A few months before that, Kim and Kanye embarked on a summer trip with the kids in Japan.

5. Kourtney’s Poosh travel diary, 2019

When the three eldest sisters – Kourtney, Kim and Khloé – travelled to Japan for an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians in 2018, Kourtney decided to journal her experiences a year later on her blog, Poosh. She described the trip as a “great bonding experience”.

Kourtney’s travel diary entry offered fans a more personal glimpse at her thoughts and feelings during the trip.

The 44-year-old said they stayed on the 36th floor of the Shangri-La Hotel in Tokyo, where the “views of the city were insane”. They dined at Gonpachi, where Kill Bill was filmed, and visited the busy Shibuya Crossing.

She also recommended trying restaurants like Two Rooms, Sky Restaurant and the Harajuku-style Kawaii Monster Cafe. In Kyoto, they went to the bamboo forest, Nara Deer Park, and the Todaiji Temple and Museum. She finished the diary entry with, “I hope to bring my kids the next time I travel to Japan.” She fulfilled this wish not long after.

6. Keeping Up with the Kardashians “take Japan”, 2018

As mentioned previously, Kourtney, Kim and Khloé filmed a whole episode in Japan that aired in 2018.

Khloé was eight months pregnant at the time.

They were seen sipping matcha, eating sushi and taking plenty of selfies in both Tokyo and Kyoto.

How about Kylie?

It’s unclear whether the youngest of the brood has visited Japan yet, but it’s clear she loves Japanese food, as she’s often spotted dining out at restaurants like Nobu in LA.

However, her on-and-off-again boyfriend and baby daddy Travis Scott went viral earlier this year when he was seen posing on a street in Japan, where it seems like he thought he’d be recognised by the public – only to find out he wasn’t, as reported by the New York Post. Awkward!
