Here’s what you need to know about the actor who has grown up in Hollywood, but shunned the glam life, choosing to earn his stripes his own way.
Jack Quaid’s famous family
Born on April 24, 1992, Jack Henry Quaid grew up tagging along with his celebrity parents – Ryan, 61 and Dennis, 69 to film sets. He told People magazine that he remembers his childhood being filled with time on location with his parents as they filmed movies. In 2002, he was with his dad in Austin, Texas, while Dennis filmed The Rookie.
Although Quaid acknowledged to E! Online that “the way I grew up was not normal”, he says it was normal to him because “they were still my mum and dad”. He added that his parents shunned the typical Hollywood life and tried to make him aware of happenings away from the spotlight.

His love of performance
In an interview with Woman’s Wear Daily back in 2017, Quaid said that he “always had the performing bug” and would regularly do magic shows for his family growing up. He got his first acting role in middle school for a production of Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Finding his own way
Quaid went to Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in Santa Monica, California, where he was the president of the Bad Movie Club. He later attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and co-founded the four-person Sasquatch Sketch Comedy team in 2013, honing his comedic skills.
As his acting career grew, his father’s agent wanted to represent him. In an interview with People, Dennis said he offered to help his son out when the acting bug bit – but Jack wanted to find his own way and chose his own agent, Dennis added.

Growing his talent

“They kept me away from that thing. That Hollywood-ness.” That’s how Quaid described growing up with parents in the limelight, per Women’s Wear Daily. So you can be sure that he had life lessons on how to keep his romances out of the spotlight too.
The Scream actor has been linked to actress Lizzy McGroder and director Tayler Vee Robinson. But since 2022, he has been spotted getting cosy with The Boys co-star Claudia Doumit. In July, Us Weekly reported the couple’s relationship was going strong, after rumours of the duo splitting were doing the rounds.
