Fame and celebrity

What could’ve been quite the preppy partnership came to a swift end in 2013 after the retailer released a new T-shirt that poked fun at the singer’s history

That’s right – it’s none other than “Style” singer Taylor Swift! This year, her Eras Tour became the first billion-dollar concert tour, but back when she was a not-yet-famous 14-year-old, she epitomised her song “Teardrops on My Guitar” in a moody 2003 ad campaign for American clothing retailer, Abercrombie & Fitch.

While Swift continued her quick march to global domination, her relationship with the fashion brand unfortunately ended for good when they released a T-shirt in 2013 featuring a distasteful joke about her dating history – long before she got together with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
