When Anna Kendrick went on the Call Her Daddy podcast last year, she explained why she doesn’t date men who haven’t been in therapy – so what do we know about her new beau?
Notorious for keeping mum about her private and romantic life, Kendrick first opened up about surviving an emotionally abusive relationship during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast in 2024.
“It came out of absolutely nowhere, but was built on this foundation of – I had so much love and trust for that person, so I thought it had to be me. Like, if one of us is crazy, it must be me. So it was very, very difficult to actually go, ‘No, I think this is him. I think this is his stuff,’” the Woman of the Hour director said then.
Kendrick went on to discuss her non-negotiable rule for future relationships: “I’m never getting involved with a man – meaning we’re not even kissing, we’re not even going to have a real conversation – unless you are in or have been in therapy.”
Given that the couple have been spotted making bakery runs in California and that Kendrick has reportedly even met Edelman’s mother, sources told People that the relationship “doesn’t seem casual”.
