From snagging the lead role in Netflix’s Wednesday (the spin-off TV show of cult-classic The Addams Family), to starring in the Beetlejuice sequel in 2024, Jenna Ortega has become director Tim Burton’s latest muse – and Hollywood’s favourite goth girl.
As the 22-year-old reprises the role of Wednesday Addams and returns to Nevermore Academy this summer for another dose of ghoulish fun on Wednesday season two, here’s a look at the actress’ take on method dressing.
Edgy glam at Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event in California – May 31

Ahead of the show’s premieres, the Scream actress celebrated her show’s second season by wearing this edgy look, with a dash of Hollywood glamour, to Netflix’s Tudum event on May 31. The outfit featured an ombre leather trench coat, fading from dark grey to beige, from Markgong's spring/summer 2025 collection. She wore a headscarf to match and a pair of dark sunglasses.
The viral ‘no-eyebrow’ look in London – July 30
On July 30, Ortega went viral for her look at the London premiere of Wednesday season two (which is set to feature a Lady Gaga cameo!). Wearing a couture snakeskin-textured latex gown from Ashi Studio, Ortega debuted a stunning no-eyebrow look. The dark lip and eye make-up added to her ethereal vibe.
Vampire vibes in Paris – July 31
The next day, the You actress continued the gothic theme when she attended Paris’ opening of Le Beach Club de Mercredi (Wednesday’s Beach Club), a space on the banks of the Seine for Wednesday fans to enjoy the eerie ambience of the show throughout August. For the event, Ortega chose a corseted Vivienne Westwood dress with a plunging neckline from its autumn 2025 collection. She accessorised with a pavé cross necklace by Loree Rodkin.
