Apple TV+’s comedy series Platonic has returned for its second season – and it’s better than ever.

The show follows two platonic best friends, Sylvia (Rose Byrne) and Will (Seth Rogen), who reconnect after a years-long rift. Charlie, Sylvia’s lawyer husband, is played by 45-year-old Luke Macfarlane. And for those wondering – no, he is not related to Family Guy creator and fellow funnyman, Seth MacFarlane.

Luke Macfarlane is Canadian

Luke Macfarlane was born in January 1980 in Ontario, Canada. His late father was the director of student health services at the University of Western Ontario, and his mother is a mental health nurse, per his bio on Last.fm. Macfarlane also has a twin sister named Ruth and an older sister named Rebecca.
He studied at Juilliard

Macfarlane attended the L.B. Pearson School for the Arts in Ontario before later moving to New York City to attend the prestigious Juilliard School, where he studied drama, per Last.fm. During his time there, the Bros actor starred in several theatre productions before graduating in 2003. He made his on-screen debut a year later as Bruce Kinsey in the 2004 period drama Kinsey starring Liam Neeson.
