Redbird enjoys hacky sack and playing video games and, as Jeremiah’s close friend, constantly encourages him to never forget the kid within. In an Instagram video, Zagarino reflected on their on-screen bond, saying, “I came into your life when we went to college and joined the fraternity together. Redbird brings a lot more fun to Jeremiah, and just like, ‘Dude, be a kid! Let’s let loose. Let’s not think so much. Let’s get a little weird.’”

Before his notable role on The Summer I Turned Pretty, Zagarino appeared in several TV shows and films including 9-1-1: Lone Star, The Price We Pay, Pool Boy Nightmare, Aftermath, The Real Bros of Simi Valley: The Movie, and the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ comedy series Shrinking. In Shrinking, he plays Dylan, a character introduced in season two as the love interest of Alice, portrayed by Lukita Maxwell.
In 2020, Zagarino also wrote and starred in the short film Vinny Mancuso’s Rules for Good Business, showcasing his talents beyond acting.
He excels at wrestling
When Zagarino attended Mattituck High School in New York, he excelled as an all-county wrestler. He continued his wrestling career at the University of Pittsburgh and won the New York State wrestling tournament in 2017.
