Meet Francesca Xuereb, who plays exotic dancer-turned-physical therapist Cheyenne in Landman

The Detroit-born actress once worked as a server between acting jobs, and went back to being a waitress during the writers’ strike in 2023
In the latest episode, Landman introduces a new character: Cheyenne, played by Francesca Xuereb. She’s a dancer at Rick’s Cabaret hired by Thornton’s Tommy Norris for his ailing father, T.L. Norris (Elliott). The younger Norris wants her to act as T.L.’s physical therapist because he’s “as stubborn as a jack mule, but he can’t say no to a pretty woman”. Cheyenne agrees to the unusual gig and quickly builds a wholesome rapport with the older gentleman.
What’s her background?

According to her IMDB biography, Xuereb was born in Detroit, Michigan. She seems to be close to her mother, whom she called “the best” and “crazy and funny and lovely” on an Instagram post. She got her bachelor’s degree in theatre from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
How did she get into acting?

According to an interview Xuereb gave to the entertainment website Search My Trash, she caught the acting bug at a young age, cutting her teeth in community theatre as a child. “I loved it, but the theatre shut down and I fell off,” Xuereb recalled.
