HBO’s Primetime Emmy award-winning medical drama series The Pitt and its cast returned to our screens for a second season last month. Continuing the emergency room adventures of Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (played by Noah Wyle), a chief attending physician and his team at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, the new season has also introduced new faces including actor Lucas Iverson, who stars as the arrogant know-it-all fourth-year med student James Ogilvie.

He hails from Baltimore

Born in February 1995, Iverson hails from Baltimore, Maryland, where he attended high school at Loyola Blakefield. During his time there, Iverson participated in the school’s speech and debate team and competed in multiple events at the local, state and national levels, according to his online bio.

Based in New York City, Iverson describes himself as an “actor, writer and avid pastry consumer” in his online portfolio.

The 30-year-old actor graduated from the Yale School of Drama and has performed in various theatre productions including Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? for the Yale Repertory Theatre, As You Like It at the Orlando Texas Shakespeare Festival, Romeo and Juliet at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and more.

He made his on-screen debut in 2016

Iverson made his on-screen acting debut in 2016, starring in the short film I am Here and various other projects before landing a role in HBO drama series The Gilded Age alongside White Lotus actress Carrie Coon and Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon. The Pitt is Iverson’s biggest project yet.
