Gerran Howell’s The Pitt character, Dr Whitaker, has gotten some of the most character development on the show since its second season premiered in January.

Better known by his nickname “Huckleberry” (a reference to his country bumpkin background), Nebraska-born Whitaker spent the first season of the hit medical drama as a nervous fourth-year medical student at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center working alongside Dr Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (Noah Wyle), Victoria Javadi (Shabana Azeez) and more.
