Inside Leila Roker’s fairy-tale nuptials: Al Roker’s daughter just got married

She wed Sylvain Gricourt first in Paris, and then at a New Jersey luxury resort, wearing Mark Ingram and Amsale
Leila Roker threw the wedding bash of a lifetime with a two-part celebration that spanned continents.
The daughter of NBC weather presenter Al Roker first wed Frenchman Sylvain Gricourt at a chic Parisian civil ceremony, followed by a church service and a garden reception at Le Manoir de Gressy Hotel on May 9. Two weeks later, the couple did it all again in New Jersey.

But when exactly did Roker’s daughter meet her now-husband, and how did their love story start?
She pursued journalism, like her parents

Born in New York City in 1998, Leila grew up with media in her DNA. Her father, Al Roker, is NBC’s long-time Today show weatherman, and her mother, Deborah Roberts, is a respected ABC journalist. She has a half-sister, Courtney, who is a chef and recipe developer with experience at two Michelin-starred restaurants.
In 2017 Leila relocated to Paris to study journalism at the American University of Paris, graduating in 2021. It was where she would then meet her now-husband.

As a journalist, Leila has interned for and contributed to Forbes, WWD, Paper Magazine and Today, covering everything from the controversial trend of “blackfishing” to dating during the pandemic. She was a junior digital consultant at Weber Shandwick Paris for various consumer and luxury brands. She’s also clearly a fashion enthusiast, and attended the Paris Fashion Week in 2020. Leila currently works as global travel account manager at Finn Partners, while Gricourt is a sustainability content manager at Economie d’Energie.
