Taylor Swift wasn’t kidding when she told talk show host Graham Norton that her wedding guest list would include “anyone [she]’s ever talked to”. Swift’s grand wedding to Travis Kelce reportedly had around 1,000 guests, with various professional musicians, actors, athletes and more being seen around Madison Square Garden for the festivities.

Among the guests was director Joseph Kahn, who then took to social media to share his experience at the wedding.

“I haven’t been without my phone that long since 1992,” wrote Kahn on X, referring to the no-phone policy at Swift’s wedding. Thanks to the pop star’s extensive guest list, Kahn also had the opportunity to meet one of Hollywood’s greats, which he shared on Instagram.

“Had a wonderful time at Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce’s wedding last night. I got to meet Steven Spielberg and the lovely Kate Capshaw and talk filmmaking with the GOAT (lifelong dream achieved),” he said. “It was so much funnier and emotional than expected, and as big as it was, it also felt very intimate.”

Aside from those posts though, he’s mostly kept details of the wedding under wraps. “Every picture I’ve seen of the wedding is fake,” he added on X. “Trust me, AI would break if you tried to prompt it.”

Kahn and Swift go way back, with the pair first working together during Swift’s 1989 era. Kahn is the mastermind behind several of Swift’s most popular music videos, including “Blank Space” (2014), which has over 3.8 billion views at the time of writing, and her comeback song after her hiatus, “Look What You Made Me Do” (2017).

Though Kahn has not directed a video for Swift since 2018, it’s clear she still considers him a good friend, even inviting him to her VIP tent for her Eras Tour.
