The multimillionaire founder of Barstool Sports has dismissed their 22-year age gap and has been spotted with her at NBA and WNBA games
Dave Portnoy, the controversial founder of digital media company Barstool Sports, likes to keep his relationships low-key. But something changed when the 49-year-old businessman decided to openly discuss another controversy in his personal life: his 22-year age gap with his girlfriend, Camryn D’Aloia.
In an interview tied to the promotion of his memoir Cancel Me if You Can, the multimillionaire told US Weekly last Friday he isn’t bothered by the age difference. “The age thing is never – people always say it to me – it’s never been a factor,” Portnoy said. “I don’t think about it at all when I’m with her.”

When did Dave Portnoy and Camryn D’Aloia start dating?
The couple was first spotted together at an NBA game in April 2024. Television cameras caught Portnoy and D’Aloia sitting behind the sportscasters during Boston Celtics’ match-up against Miami. When the pair noticed they were being filmed, they stopped talking and tried to look in different directions. The footage quickly went viral and fuelled speculation that the two were dating.
A few days later, Portnoy called this on-camera appearance “unfortunate” in an episode of the BFFs podcast. He said he was trying to be “sensitive” after a recent break-up with his former girlfriend, model Silvana Mojica, who he dated from 2021 to 2023.
Portnoy officially confirmed his relationship with D’Aloia in April 2025, calling her “Cam, a girl I’m dating” on the Drop A Pin podcast.
Portnoy and D’Aloia had a ‘scary’ boating trip
The couple shared a nerve-racking experience while boating in the middle of Nantucket Harbour. In the Drop A Pin podcast, Portnoy recalled that his boat was shutting down when they were “very close” to the open ocean, which he said was “f-cking scary”.
Portnoy then told D’Aloia to “get off and tell somebody”, which she did without hesitation. Eventually, coastguards towed the boat back to the shore shortly, thanks to D’Aloia’s bold move in swimming to shore and calling for help.
D’Aloia keeps things private
D’Aloia has 5,521 followers on Instagram, but her account is private. She prefers to keep her personal life out of the public eye, with her LinkedIn providing some rare insight. According to her profile, she graduated from Framingham State University with a degree in corporate communications and is currently a senior social media associate at the hair growth supplements company Nutrafol.
