Meet Russell Crowe’s son Tennyson, who flexed with the Gladiator star in a rare gym selfie

The Oscar-winning actor recently marked his younger son’s 20th birthday with the tandem photo and a heartfelt post

Crowe’s ex-wife, Australian actress Danielle Spencer, also marked her son’s birthday on Instagram by sharing a montage of childhood photos and clips. “Hard to believe that this little lad is 20 years old today,” she captioned the post, “All grown up! You can look after me now.”
Crowe and his family have kept a low profile over the years. But what do we know about the youngest member of the Crowe family?
When did Tennyson’s parents separate?

Crowe and Spencer first met in 1989 while working on the film The Crossing. They had an on-and-off relationship before getting married in 2003.
That same year, they welcomed their first son, Charles. Tennyson was born around three years later, on July 7, 2006.
Crowe and Spencer separated in 2012, with both parties saying they felt responsible for the split. In a 2016 interview with Extra, Crowe admitted that his career was part of what led to their separation. “It’s one of the reasons I separated, really. It’s because my job requires constant travel,” Crowe said. “[P]art of the decision to work is a decision to not be with your kids.”
Spencer has also opened up about their separation, telling the Something To Talk About podcast that she felt she was at fault. “I had to deal with my almost sense of guilt that I was fracturing the family, but obviously I did it for a number of reasons, and I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t think it needed to happen,” she said.
