Gina Rodriguez just backed Justin Baldoni – what has the Jane the Virgin star been up to?
The It Ends with Us actor finally broke his silence about his legal saga with Blake Lively, and he’s getting support from his former co-star
Baldoni posted a video last Thursday on Instagram with his wife, Emily Baldoni, to speak publicly about his legal saga with Lively for the first time since she filed a lawsuit against him, alleging a hostile work environment on the set of It Ends With Us.
“We have not spoken publicly for the better part of the last two years,” said Baldoni, who is also the director of the 2024 film. “And it’s not because we haven’t had anything to say, because Lord knows we have, but it just felt like every time we went to make a video like this, we wanted to speak, something was telling us not to. It just didn’t feel like the right time.”
“We’ve had to wrestle with so many things and try to understand so many things, like how could something like this even happen, let alone disguised as a fight for women?” Emily Baldoni added, seemingly referring to Lively’s sexual harassment claims against her husband. The case was settled out of court in May.
In response to their video, Rodriguez, who stars opposite Baldoni in Jane the Virgin, commented: “Love you friends. Por vida [For life]”.
This is not the first time the actress has shown support for Baldoni. She had referred to him as “my brother forever” in an interview with People magazine in September 2024, just months before Lively sued Baldoni.
