While Jude has been one of the stand-out players of the summer, Jobe is also making waves in his own football career, having been named the English Football League’s 2025 Young Player of the Season.
Here’s what we know about the younger Bellingham.
He plays for his brother’s old team

Jobe Bellingham was born on September 23, 2005, and raised in Stourbridge, England. The brothers started their football careers at the Birmingham City Academy, and their father Mark is a former non-league footballer.
In 2023, Jobe joined English football club Sunderland at the age of 17. Last June, he signed a five-year contract reportedly worth up to €38 million (US$43.3 million) with Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, the club his older brother represented for three years before his move to La Liga’s Real Madrid. The deal surpassed the club’s previous one with French player Ousmane Dembélé, worth reportedly €15 million (US$17.2 million).
He wants to make a name for himself

When Bellingham moved to Sunderland, he decided to use his first name on his football jersey rather than his surname.
