American Beauty star Annette Bening just made a red carpet appearance for her latest role – in Apple TV’s Lucky crime thriller miniseries, starring Anya Taylor-Joy. The 68-year-old actress attended the premiere in a classy black suit, matching her son Benjamin Beatty, who joined her for the event.
Here’s what to know about Annette Bening and Warren Beatty’s son Benjamin, who accompanied her on the red carpet for the series produced by Taylor-Joy and Reese Witherspoon.

Benjamin Beatty’s parents married in 1992 after starring opposite each other in the biographical crime drama film Bugsy (1991). They have four children: Benjamin, 31; his older brother Stephen, 34; and his two younger sisters, Isabel, 29, and Ella, 26. In 2012, Stephen shared in a YouTube video for We Happy Trans that he had started transitioning from female to male during adolescence.

Benjamin was born and raised in Los Angeles. In 2013, he enrolled at prestigious Northwestern University, announcing the news on Instagram with a photo of his admission letter.

Beatty doesn’t just come from actor parents – he comes from a whole actor dynasty. He is a nephew of Shirley MacLaine, the renowned six-time Golden Globe winner, and cousin to her daughter Sachi Parker, who’s known for her appearances across television and film, such as in the iconic Christmas movie Scrooged (1988).

Not surprisingly, Beatty was exposed to the industry from an early age. In 2004 his mother shared with People magazine how she often took her children on set, including in different countries where she filmed. “They get a chance to see the world in a way that you don’t if you’re just a tourist,” the actress said.

He’s also been in movies

Beatty appeared in his first film Hail, Caesar! in 2016, joining a star-studded cast that included Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum. Two years later came his second role in the sci-fi film UFO, playing opposite Gillian Anderson and Ella Purnell.
