STORYGloria Fung

- Huang, whose father was a Nasa rocket scientist, was on Britain’s Most Expensive Houses in 2022, and a judge on Channel 4 competition show The Big Interiors Battle
- Her unique aesthetic extends to her personal style, where she mixes Shein, Primark and Zara with ultra-luxury labels including Christian Louboutin, Dior and Tom Ford
Taiwanese-American Dara Huang has carved out a name for herself in architecture, opening her own firm and co-founding another after working under some of the biggest names in Europe.

Huang was also previously in a relationship with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, now husband of Princess Beatrice, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York. Huang’s broken-off engagement with Mozzi recently put her in the media limelight following the princess’s marriage in 2020 and the birth of the royal couple’s daughter in 2021.

Huang’s son Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi aka “Wolfie”, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé, is now the royal step-sibling to little sister Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi. Sienna is the great-niece of King Charles and is 10th in line to the throne.

Aside from her royal connections, the Harvard-educated architect has found tremendous success in her own right. Born in the US to parents who immigrated from Taiwan, Huang’s father was a rocket scientist, having worked for Nasa.

Huang has had an illustrious career designing for a number of high-profile projects, including Manolo Blahnik stores around the world, as well as Harrods, Cartier and the Four Seasons Hotels.
