Considered Asia’s original supermodel, Qiqi Yam has modelled alongside the likes of Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford and has starred in high-profile campaigns for brands including SK-II and watchmaker Omega. She also founded her own fashion line and reality TV show.

Style is a way to express one’s aesthetics and attitude. Everyone has their own unique mark.

Why is Hong Kong still an important style capital?

Its openness and internationalism allow Hong Kong society to be highly receptive to overseas cultures, ideas and trends. There is also a strong cultural influence, combined with the preservation of traditional Chinese roots. Hong Kong is a place where Eastern and Western fashion converge, creating an aesthetic you won’t find anywhere else.

Robert Wun’s fashion show in 2024, where I also appeared on the runway. His fashion reflects true Hong Kong style and wearing his clothes gives you a sense of pride as a Hongkonger.
