Alexa Melton is a professional golf player
Born on September 9, 2000, Melton grew up playing sports – possibly getting her competitive nature from her father, who played college baseball. She played softball and football, switching to golf as a tween. Despite what was considered a late start, Melton quickly climbed up the ranks, winning the Southern California Golf Association Women’s Amateur at age 17.
“My dream was never to become a pro golfer, I just wanted it to get into college,” said Melton in an interview with the CBS Sports Golazo Network. Once she got into university, Melton continued playing golf, finally going professional after graduating. In 2023, she joined the Epson Tour, the official developmental and qualifying tour of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour.
Melton also has a YouTube channel, where she occasionally shares golfing vlogs.
