All 63 of Lamborghini’s new $3.6 million Sian hybrid supercars have already been sold – could Mark Zuckerberg be a buyer?

Italian marque is making only 63 of the US$3.6 million cars with 6.5-litre V12 engine and extra electric motor – but all have been sold before next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show
The Sian has the same 6.5-litre, V12 engine that powers the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, but also features an additional 48-volt electric motor, which provides 34 horsepower out of the total of 819 horsepower.
The carmaker claims the supercar has the lowest weight-to-power ratio of all V12 Lamborghinis.
Not only does the Sian deliver a formidable hyper-car design and engineering tour de force today, it augments the potential for Lamborghini as a super sports car brand for tomorrow and for decades to come
The new car, which can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour (100km/h) in less than 2.8 seconds, has a top speed of 217mph (349km/h).
Sian is the word in the Bolognese dialect that means “flash” or “lightning” – an obvious nod to the car’s hybrid capabilities.

Stefano Domenicali, Lamborghini’s chairman and CEO said the car is the marque’s first step towards hybridisation and electrification.
Drivers can use the electric motor in situations where low speed is required, driving in reverse and parking.
This electric motor is part of the gearbox, which is designed to provide a quicker response and better performance for the car. This is not typical for a low-voltage hybrid, and is the first time it has ever been done, the company says.
Not only does the Sian deliver a formidable hyper-car design and engineering tour de force today, it augments the potential for Lamborghini as a super sports car brand for tomorrow and for decades to come.
“Not only does the Sian deliver a formidable hyper-car design and engineering tour de force today, it augments the potential for Lamborghini as a super sports car brand for tomorrow and for decades to come, even as hybridisation becomes more desirable and inevitably essential,” Domenicali said.
