How the world's 5 best airlines measure up

Emirates’ shower and spa is designed for those who like to pamper themselves.

It has been 10 years since Singapore Airlines was last named World’s Best Airline by Skytrax World Airline Awards. This year it bumped 2017 champion Qatar Airways into second place, claiming the title for 2018.

The remaining airlines in the top 10 are, in descending order, ANA All Nippon Airways, Emirates, EVA Air, Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Hainan Airlines, Garuda Indonesia and Thai Airways.

Singapore’s national airlines also picked up awards for the Best Airlines in Asia, Best First Class Airline and Best First Class Airline Seats.
