Travellers can practise yoga or meditate in two areas focused on the body and mind in the carrier’s business class lounge at Hong Kong International Airport

Yet another reason to go to the airport with plenty of time to spare – apart from general peace of mind and being a responsible flier – there is now a yoga and meditation space for frazzled travellers to achieve Zen before they board their flights.

Cathay Pacific has teamed up with The Pure Group – known in Hong Kong for its yoga and fitness studios – to create The Sanctuary by Pure Yoga within its business class lounge at The Pier in Hong Kong International Airport.

The 700-square-foot (65-square-metre) area is split into two zones – The Body Sanctuary and The Mind Sanctuary.

The Body Sanctuary is dedicated to yoga, and travellers can opt to follow a guided video featuring Pure Yoga instructors or, if they are already old hands at the sun salutation, they can do the downward facing dog in relative solitude within a secluded space.

Alternatively, they can stretch out their tired muscles on chairs, facing simple instructions mounted on the walls.
