If you were a billionaire and had the urge to spend lavishly, what would you buy?

Floyd “Money” Mayweather, who held multiple world boxing titles in five weight categories throughout his career before retiring with an undefeated record of 50 wins, isn’t short of a few ideas.

The billionaire loves luxury bling, and last week he posted a photo on his Instagram account of a diamond-encrusted Jacob & Co. timepiece – called the Billionaire watch – which he bought for US$18 million.

The unique timepiece, created by Jacob Arabo in affiliation with Flavio Briatore and his Billionaire Lifestyle SARL company, features 260 carats of emerald-cut diamonds and has a tourbillon movement calibre that counters the effects of gravity, ensuring timekeeping is constantly accurate.

Mayweather takes pleasure in flaunting his wealth, and is known for buying extravagant timepieces. He occasionally posts photos of himself on Instagram amid piles of hard cash.

The 41-year-old made his fortune from boxing, and generated almost 24 million pay-per-view buys throughout his career. This year, he tops the Forbes list of the world’s highest-paid athletes for the fourth time, with earnings of US$285 million.
