This year’s edition of Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, the annual watch fair in Geneva, showcased beautiful timepieces from some of the world’s most elite watch brands.

Here are our six favourite women’s timepieces that were unveiled at SIHH this year.

Top 11 timepieces for men at SIHH 2019

1. Jaeger-LeCoultre, Rendez-Vous Night & Day Jewellery

The Rendez-Vous is one of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most popular options for women – and its latest model, the Rendez-Vous Night & Day Jewellery proves why.

The new mode, available in either white or pink gold, surrounds the mother-of-pearl dial with a double ring of sparkling diamonds set on the bezel using a prong-setting technique.

The 36mm timepiece runs on the automatic Calibre 898B/1 and has 38 hours of power reserve.

2. Cartier, Panthère de Cartier

Panthère de Cartier collection received a modern update this year. The highlight was the manchette watch, which mixed jewellery with timekeeping precision. The dial of the watch is kept off-centred, while the partially open-worked cuff keeps it looking glamorous. Six versions are available, but our favourite is the pink-gold version with black lacquer detailing on the cuff, with the cuff’s pattern carried over onto the dial.

3. Hermès, Galop d’Hermès

Hermès unveiled a new women’s collection – Galop d’Hermès. Designed by Ini Archibong, the timepiece is inspired by all things equestrian: bits, stirrups and harnesses.

A highlight of the collection is the new typeface created by Archibong – it looks as though it is unfurling, while the 8 and the 4 feature lines that mimic the curves of the case. The crown is located at 6 o’clock instead of the conventional 3 o’clock. The timepiece comes in rose gold or steel, with the option of diamonds on the case.

4. Parmigiani, Tonda 1950 Rainbow

Parmigiani received a colourful update this year.

Its classic Tonda 1950 collection featured a 3.73ct rainbow bezel set with 36 baguette-cut stones. It is complemented by a white mother-of-pearl dial. The 39mm timepiece is driven by the PF701 calibre, which is just 2.6mm thick.

This year, the hand-engraved bracelet comes in pink gold and is finished off with a “Décor Palace” finish – a hallmark of Piaget’s craftsmanship. The malachite dial is complemented with a gem-set bezel.

This year, the brand unveiled a unique secret watch, named Sapphire Orb, that showcases more than 12,000 sparkling sapphires (blue and graded orange) and diamonds that total 66.10ct. A 2cm sapphire-set globe located at the top of the domed centre hides within a tiny dial.
