Panerai reinterprets iconic timepieces with slimmer calibres and cases

Following its successful launch of colour straps, Panerai has yet again managed to make its female fans happy

Known for its bold designs and masculine aesthetics, the luxury watchmaker recently unveiled the new Luminor Marina collection, featuring house-made P.9010 movement, a much slimmer calibre – 1.9mm slimmer to be exact – than the original P.9000. The powerful automatic P.9010 calibre boasts an impressive power reserve of three days – no less than its P.9000 counterpart. Catering to its purist fans, however, the original collection will not be discontinued but presented in parallel to the new creations.

Some coveted highlights from the collection include the Luminor Marina 1950 Carbotech 3 Days Automatic, now available in 44mm-diametre case, as well as the Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic Acciaio, available in a 42mm diameter case.

Another highlight of the launch is the new Luminor Due Case, inspired by the silhouette of a 1950s classic Luminor but reinterpreted for modern-day lifestyle. The ergonomics of the design reduce the thickness and the weight of the case.

The collection includes the Luminor Due 3 Days Acciaio with a 42mm diameter dial as well as the Luminor Due 3 Days Oro Rosso featuring an elegant anthracite sun-brushed dial and case rendered in red gold.

Some of the new pieces are arriving in stores now. The rest from the collection are expected to be available in Hong Kong around September or October this year.
