The new Blancpain watch is based on the fundamental principles deeply rooted within Chinese tradition, paying tribute to Chinese culture.

Blancpain brings artisans to Hong Kong to showcase watchmaking techniques

Operating on the self-winding Calibre 3638 movement, this watch features a seven-day power

reserve. The hours, minutes and the Gregorian calendar on the dial sit next to the main indications of the Chinese calendar, including signs of the zodiac, the five elements and the 10 celestial stems.

The moon phase, which is one of the key components in Blancpain’s calendars, also play a crucial part in this model, given the link between the lunar cycle as well as traditional Chinese months.

The watch is fitted with a white grand feu enamel dial featuring a chapter ring with applied gold hour-marker, and indications that are painted in gold before firing. The 45mm-diameter platinum case comprises five under-lug correctors serving to adjust the indications, complete with a crown adorned with a cabochon-cut ruby.
