The watch boasts a new case and new movements to adapt to its unique silhouette.

The barrel-shaped design comes in several interpretations, featuring a range of metals, dial designs and straps.

From the classic two-hand movement to a skeletonised, dual time-zone version, this new shape brings many possibilities for playful executions.

The two versions, the Prive Tonneau Large, with a single dial, and Prive Tonneau Extra Large Skeleton Dual Time Zone, with two smaller dials, come in platinum or 18-carat pink gold, paired with a grey, blue or brown alligator skin strap.

The platinum version of the Tonneau Large and both versions of the Tonneau Extra Large Skeleton Dual Time Zone are limited to 100 pieces only.

Cartier also welcomes new jewellery timepiece designs which form part of the Cartier Libre collection; the collection known for its creative take on watchmaking, often combining jewellery making techniques and designs to enrich the dials.

Two pieces in particular put enamel under the spotlight, contrasting the glossy surface with sparkling diamonds.

The Cartier Libre Tank Chinoise Red Watch is a revival of a design from the Cartier archives.

First created in 1921, this new rendition relies on rubies, diamonds and black enamel to create a vintage, art deco look. This piece is limited to 100 pieces.

Another piece that features a vintage silhouette is Diagonale. Here, the house uses black and red enamel alongside diamonds, creating a play on colours and texture.

Unlike any other timepiece in the existing Cartier collection, this design is a playful interpretation of high-jewellery watchmaking.
