What does Patek Philippe’s first wristwatch look like? Find out in Singapore this summer
Iconic watchmaker Patek Philippe will turn back the hands to stage a retrospective exhibition of its most historic timepieces at the Watch Art Grand Exhibition Singapore 2019.
The luxury Swiss brand will present treasures hand-picked from Geneva’s Patek Philippe Museum – including the house’s first wristwatch, and a piece presented to Queen Victoria in 1851, during the Great Exhibition at London’s The Crystal Palace.

The Patek Philippe Collection will be hosted at Marina Bay Sands Theatre from September 28 to October 13. Spread over 10 themed rooms, each dedicated to a different aspect of the family-owned firm’s heritage, the exhibition of fine and rare watches marks the first time a collection of this calibre has made its way to Asia.
Focusing on timepieces with historical importance and those that have made history in the world of watchmaking, the exhibition will be divided into two collections, the Antique Collection and the Patek Philippe Collection.
Baselworld 2019: Patek Philippe and Rolex roll with the green tide
The former collection will paint a picture of the brand’s historical contributions to the watchmaking world, while the latter will house a selection of pieces from 1839 to the present day, including some of the most complicated and intricate timepieces in the world.
