Italian racing yacht team Luna Rossa Challenge made its way to the 36th America’s Cup as the Challenger of Record earlier this year. The team’s colours have found their way to several special edition Panerai timepieces, including a regatta and a GMT reference, as well as a Submersible.

For this unboxing, we take a look at a fourth design from Panerai’s Luna Rossa collaboration, the Luminor Luna Rossa Chrono Flyback 44mm in ceramic.

Panerai’s lightest feat? The Luminor Tourbillon GMT Lo Scienzato

The various red details on the watch, including the second hand, offer a striking contrast against the dial. Sails from past Luna Rossa journeys have been repurposed and applied onto the dial, giving the watch face a textured look.

The piece features the Luminor’s signature crown protector on its 44mm case. In sandblasted ceramic with an engraved caseback, the watch is water resistant to 10 bars. Housed inside is the automatic chronograph P9100 movement with a 3-day power reserve.

The watch comes with a calf bracelet and a second interchangeable rubber bracelet.
