Smash hit K-drama Crash Landing on You is a South-meets-North love story about two unlikely lovers who meet when the female lead, Yoon Se-ri (played by Son Ye-jin), crashes her parachute into the northern side of the Korean Demilitarised Zone – and into the arms of actor Hyun Bin’s character, Ri Jeong-hyuk. Besides the intensifying feelings between the two lead characters throughout the series, what was most interesting, perhaps, were the cultural nuances between South and North Korea as well as the character’s fashion choices.
